In 2013, Dr. Renaud Gerve started a mobile health clinic to provide care in the remote villages around Mombin Crochu where he grew up. He continues to maintain the mobile clinic every week, traveling by motorcycle and on foot to serve many Haitians who would otherwise never receive appropriate medical care. With the support of the Presbyterian Church in 2017, he created Pro Famille Clinique, a full-service medical clinic open daily and staffed by health care volunteers, which provides vital medical and dental care for the underserved and impoverished in Cap-Haitian.
The BEA Society is excited to support Dr. Gerve and the Pro Famille Clinique Fondacion with medical supplies for both the Cap Haitien free-standing clinic and for the traveling mobile clinics serving the villages in Mombin Crochu. Regarding significant impact within the community, Pro Famille Fondacion has served > 25,000 patients in Mombin Crochu since the start of the mobile clinics and the Cap Haitien Clinic treats > 1,300 patients a month.
